first_img 4 Sergi Samper: Midfield – Click the arrow for more – A lot has been said about Samper’s ability on the ball and superb vision and he has been mentioned in the same breadth as Pep Guardiola, the former manager and midfield pivot. With energy to burn and Sergio Busquets, Xavi and Andres Iniesta to learn from, the 19-year-old has a very promising future in football. He was even linked with a move to White Hart Lane during Andre Villas-Boas’ time in charge. Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino was spotted watching a Barcelona B game during the international break. The young Barca boys were in action against Numancia and drew 1-1, though whether Pochettino just fancied watching players who are able to pass a ball, or if he was on a scouting mission is unclear.Having played for and managed Barcelona-based club Espanyol for a number of years, he may have just blagged a couple of free tickets…Anyway, here are four quality Barcelona B players he would have been impressed by. 4 4 Adama Traore: Winger – Traore was just 17 when he made his debut for Barcelona in 2013, becoming the ninth youngest player to play for the first team when he replaced Neymar against Granada. That happened before the winger even made his debut for the B team. The 18-year-old is very quick and difficult for defenders to stop in one on one situations and has been linked to both Everton and Man United in the past. Despite Traore claiming his agent is negotiating a new deal, nothing has been signed and his contract is up in the summer. Munir El-Haddadi: Forward – Click the arrow for more – Born in Madrid, El-Haddadi made his debut for the Barca first team in August, days before he turned 19 and scored to make the day truly memorable. He won the UEFA Youth League in May, top scoring with 11 goals including one from the halfway line as Benfica were beaten 3-0. As well as goal scoring, he has bags of skill and has an exceptional work-rate. He is very highly rated in Barcelona and with Arsenal and Chelsea said to be circling, it is thought he will sign a new contract with a release clause of £28m. A quality loan signing, perhaps? Sandro Ramirez: Striker – Click the arrow for more – Mauricio Pochettino was spotted watching Barcelona’s B team in action against Numancia, so talkSPORT looks at some of the quality on offer from the young Catalan side beginning with Ramirez. The 19-year-old scored for Barcelona in the 1-1 draw, controlling with his left foot and rifling the ball into the goal with his right. This season he has scored twice in La Liga and once in the Champions League, against Ajax in a 3-1 win. 4last_img read more
